Low Countries Studies
A new series will start on Thursday 14 February 2013. The programme is now being finalised
What is LCS?
Low Countries Studies is
a
post academic
acculturation programme
for exchange students and other foreign students and researchers, who
want to learn more about Flanders, Belgium and the Netherlands. The
students are given a broad overview of various aspects of Flemish
society (language, art and culture, history, the media, the Flemish
landscape, town and country planning, etc ...) and everyday customs in
Flanders.
The Low Countries Studies
programme does
not lead
to a degree, only to a certificate.
The programme is not a full-time degree programme and cannot be used to
gain access to university studies. If you are a student, you need to
follow it as an additional programme. Since this is a post academic
programme, there are no ECTS credits to be obtained.
When?
The programme consists of a series of 12 lectures and some extra
activities. The
first
session takes place on Thursday
14 February 2013. See the
full programme for 2012-2013 (to be finalised).
The lectures take place on
Thursdays
at 7 pm
and last till the end of May 2013. All lectures
take place in the building of the
Faculty of Arts, Auditorium C, ground
floor, Blandijnberg 2, 9000 Gent.
